Ever wanted to own your own squishable chaos creature?

Now you can adopt ShanChan, a chaotic little skull-dog guardian bound in plush form! Powered by hyperfixations and questionable decisions, ShanChan is determined to keep watch over her favourite people, no matter how many distractions get in her way. She is wearing her dinosaur onesie to help remind her how to be fierce, and is accompanied by Gerald, the eldritch god disguised as a rubber duck. Together they promise to guard your desk, bed, gaming setup or all your snacks. Especially all your snacks!

Background

This plush has been a true community project from the very beginning.

When we first started talking about making a ShanChan plush, we quickly realised how difficult it was to find a singular simple thing that could represent our little corner of the internet. Over the years we've built a community around creativity, chaos, kindness, hyperfixations, impulsive ideas, one tiny emotional support duck, and celebrating the wonderfully weird parts of ourselves.

We asked for suggestions, listened to feedback, and tried to capture as many of those little pieces as we could.

The result is this round, squishy little chaos creature! ShanChan in her dinosaur onesie, clutching Gerald, ready for adventures, comfort, mischief, and moral support. Her dino onesie, a favourite in stream, to us also represents that fierce little spark inside all of us — the part that helps you be brave and keep going even when we might feel small, anxious, awkward, or unsure of ourselves. We decided on the soft, round, huggable shape to represent the comfort and acceptance we've always tried to build within our community.

More than anything, this plush is a celebration of the people who made this space what it is. The artists, the lurkers, the chatters, the bratty little gremlins, the collectors of weirdness. Everyone who has ever felt a little different, a little odd, or a little out of place.

This plush is a reminder that those parts of us deserve to be loved too.
